Family Pictures

We finally had some new professional pictures taken of the 3 of us! We used a new photographer, and couldn't be happier with the results! Check her out at www.stefanimarcus.com ... she's awesome and was GREAT with the mouse :)

And two of my favorites ... we had a slight meltdown half way through our shoot, lol. Poor mouse was having a rough morning :)

Halloween Weekend!

We had a very busy, yet very fun Halloween weekend around here! Husband's mom has started the tradition over the past couple of years of throwing a Halloween party out at the farm. So, the mouse and I trapsed out to the boonies on Halloween day to help her set up and play outside! He had a blast playing out back during the day, and an even bigger blast staying up late with the adults at the party that night (since that night the clocks got set back an hour, I wanted to make sure his little bod slept well and wasn't up at the crack of dawn the next day, lol). Here are some pics of our day/night:

The next day we met with some of my family for lunch and visiting. My mom's parents were in town from Oklahoma, and needed some good great-grandkid time :) It's hard to believe that my cousin's girls are 2.5 and 8 months already! The mouse had a good time running around after my cousin's oldest daughter ... he LOVES big kids!

The Mouse's Christmas outfit!

Ok, ok ... so I realize that it's not even Halloween yet, but you have to jump on these things people, or all the good stuff will get bought up! lol.

(thats my best rationalization method at least)

I got the whole outfit for Children's Place ... but still need to buy shoes. We'll probably end up at Walmart or Payless for that. The clothes came in the mail on Monday and they are SO cute. Love, love, LOVE Children's Place!!

Halloween GTG!

This past weekend some of my nestie friends and I got the kiddos together for a Halloween party! The mouse and I wern't able to make it to the pumpkin patch for costume/group pictures, but we made it to the after-party ... always be fashionably late, haha.

As one of my friends put it, 'it was a lot like herding cats'. Gone are the days when a GTG was basically all of us sitting around on the floor, cooing over sweet babies who were content to snack on a Mum Mum or chew on their feet. They.Were.EVERYWHERE! Toddlers playing with toys, toddlers wanting food, toddlers wanting sippies, toddlers pulling Veggie Straws off the table (mine), toddlers scooting around in cars ... it was pure pandamonium. And can I just add that the hostess of this swoiree is 20-something weeks pregnant AND has her own toddler?

Kudos to her on an awesome GTG :)

Pumpkin Patch 2009!

What a crazy month. I feel absolutely lazy for not posting more than I have, but what can I say? Life tends to get in the way of things :)

We had a great visit to Sea World San Antonio a couple of weeks ago, although unfortunately, our outing didn't warrant many photos. It was kinda difficult to push a stroller, wrangle baby, hold a map, pick up flying sippies, and click a camera all at the same time! We did have a great time though, and it was an absolutely BEAUTIFUL day ... sunny and 70* ... it doesn't get much better than that in SA in October :)

This past Friday, however, we met a friend and her family at a local pumpkin patch for pictures and general fun! This is the same patch we took the mouse to last fall ... and here's the proof :

Taking pictures this year was MUCH different ... it was WAY easier to get pictures of a sweet mouse propped up against pumpkins than it was to get pictures of a mobile mouse who literally ran AWAY from me anytime I ventured near him with the camera :) This type of behavior made for a lot of pictures of said mouse's back side!

We had a lot of fun seeing our friends and their buglet as well. Such a sweet little girl ... she was absolutely ADORABLE in her Halloween tutu! Here are some of my favorite pictures ... enjoy!

Missing in Action

Primarily, for this reason:

Thank God, no one was hurt. I just wanted to take this opportunity to say that one of the reasons the mouse was unhurt is that he was anchored safely in his carseat in the MIDDLE of the back seat. If he had for some reason been on the passenger side of the vehicle ... well, I just don't want to think about that. I know that for mom's with more than one kiddo in a carseat (or sometimes the latch system isn't available in the middle back seat) that isn't possible ... but if it IS possible ... please please please keep your kiddos in the middle. It might save their life.
